Membership
At Lake Union Crew, we have a very simple Membership structure and fee table that makes Membership easy and hassle free. You are not locked into a contract, and may change your Membership level month to month if need be to accommodate your schedule.
Initiation Fee
Joining Lake Union Crew requires a one-time Initiation Fee of $125. Upon joining as a Member, you will also receive a polar fleece vest, embroidered with LUC logos on the front and back. No Initiation Fee is charged for participants in our Collegiate or Junior Programs, or for full-time students.
Full Membership
The monthly fee for Full Membership includes Coaching and equipment usage for all Programs. All of our Sweep & Sculling, and our evening Locally Competitive Programs are $89 per month. Participants may row as many times per week as they wish in skill-appropriate Programs. Rowers who participate in our early morning Locally Competitive and Nationally Competitive Programs pay $99 per month.
Associate Membership
You don’t have to row to be a Member of Lake Union Crew; you may wish to choose an Associate Membership at $50 per month. Whether you would like to join simply to use our workout facilities, or shift down to this level when rowing won’t fit into your schedule, Associate Membership allows you to stay in shape without participating in one of our coached rowing Programs.
Collegiate Programs
We have two seasonal Collegiate Programs that coincide with summer and winter breaks. They operate on a flat fee basis of $150 for the summer and $50 for the winter. No Initiation Fee is necessary.

Punch Cards
If geography or work schedules make it difficult for you to be here on a regular basis, punch cards are available in $100 increments for 10 visits. Contact us for details.
Payment of Fees
Monthly Fees are due on or before the 1st of each month. Payments received after the 5th will incur a late fee of $25. No invoices are sent. Payments may be made at anytime by use of the drop slot in the Purser’s Office by the front counter.
You may authorize your monthly fees to be charged to your credit/debit card. Regatta fees, merchandise and other services may also be charged to this account in person or by phone. A print out of your account is available to you at anytime upon request.
Monthly Fees will be pro-rated for first month of Membership.
You must notify us of any change to your Membership status before the 1st of the month.
Sorry, no refunds are available.
Membership Handbook
Our 17-page Membership Handbook contains information about membership levels, hours of operation, coaching, coxing, equipment use, regatta participation, special events, volunteerism, and LUC's Outreach Foundation.
A copy of the water traffic pattern map is in the Handbook as well. This map outlines the designated direction of travel from the locks to the east end of Union Bay, and includes various hazards and blind spots to be aware of. Members, please refresh yourself on this information periodically, especially if you row in one of our small boat programs.
