Membership

At Lake Union Crew, we offer an easy and hassle free Membership structure. You are not locked into a contract and if you need to change your Membership level month to month to suit your schedule, it's easy, just let us know.

Lake Union Crew offers several levels of rowing experience that range from recreational to competitive. We work with you to find the program that best fits your lifestyle and skill level. Our goal is to make sure you are challenged and you enjoy yourself along the way. For a quick view of program times, please see the program schedule.

Joining Fee & Full Membership

Joining Lake Union Crew requires a one-time Initiation Fee of $125. This can be done after your Learn To Row program or for experienced rowers, straight away. Membership gives you access to the boathouse off water training facilities, and upon joining you will receive a Lake Union Crew polar fleece vest, embroidered with LUC logos on the front and back.

The monthly fee for Full Membership covers coaching and water equipment usage. All of our sweep & scull, evening and morning Local & National Competitive Programs are $99 per month. Participants may row as many times per week as they wish in skill-appropriate programs without additional cost.  Membership also provides members full use of our workout room and access to our weights coach, who offers specially designed weights classes four times a week.

Collegiate Programs

We have two seasonal Collegiate programs that coincide with summer and winter breaks. They operate on a flat fee basis of $150 for the summer and $50 for the winter. No initiation fee is charged for participants in our Collegiate or Junior programs, or for full-time students.

Associate Membership & Punch Cards

You don't have to row to be a member of Lake Union Crew; you may wish to choose an Associate membership at $50 per month after your initial $125 joining fee. Whether you would like to join simply to use our workout facilities, or shift down to this level when rowing won't fit into your schedule, Associate membership allows you to stay in shape without participating in one of our coached rowing Programs.

If geography or work schedules make it difficult for you to be here on a regular basis, punch cards are available in $100 increments for 10 visits. Contact us for details.

Payment of Fees

  • Monthly Fees are due on or before the 1st of each month. No invoices are sent.
  • Payments received after the 5th of each month will incur a late fee of $25.
  • Payments can be dropped in the slot at the Purser's Office by the front counter.
  • You may authorize your monthly fees to be charged to your credit/debit card.
  • Regatta fees, merchandise and other services may also be charged to your account.
  • Monthly Fees will be pro-rated for first month of membership.
  • If you require change to your membership you must notify us before the 1st of the month.

Gift Certificates

Lake Union Crew offers gift certificates for the current or future rowers in your life!  Personalized gift certificates are available in any denomination and can be used for any service Lake Union Crew provides.  Please fill out the gift certificate order form to give the gift of rowing today!
