2010 marks the 2nd running of the Seattle Henley Regatta, sponsored by Lake Union Crew.

Seattle Henley is a new race format in the Northwest, involving both a time-trial and head to head racing. First racers compete in a time trial over a 1,000 meter course; think head racing format over a sprint distance.

Upon conclusion of the time trial, while still on the water, racers will learn which two boats in the event had the fastest times. Those two boats will return to the start line and race in a Henley duel - the first to the finish line is the winner.

Racing takes place in the north reach of Lake Union. The start line is just south of Ivar's Restaurant, near the Skansonia. The straight 1,000 meter course ends at Gas Works Park, right in front of the racers' families and friends.
